He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ray Fouts and Anna McClung Fouts. He is survived by: his wife Susie Brooks Fouts; his children, Catherine Fouts and Tristan Fouts; his granddaughter Dakota Fouts; and his sisters, Bonnie Annis (Phil), Valerie NaLampoon (Tinakorn) and Joy Pace (Damon). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
