He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Naomi Kolin Palmer and Joseph Kolin; and his siblings, Esther, Carl, Bill and Glen.

He is survived by: his mother-in-law Gertrude Gardner; his children, Lori Mofield (Michael), Michelle Walker (Joe), Marvin Kolin II (Shannon) and Mary Kathryn Griffin (Kevin); his grandchildren, Christopher June, Kevin June (Tawnya), John Mofield, Jacob Mofield, Robert Riley (Kate), Rachel Riley, Stephanie Walker, Victoria Walker (Dylan), Marvin T. Kolin III (Trey), Luke Kolin, Samantha Kolin, Kevin Griffin (Angelia), Christopher Griffin (Genevieve), Diana Farmer and Aurora (Michael); his great grandchildren, Tallulah Riley, Kiera Griffin, Kevin Griffin III, Alison Griffin, Elliott Griffin, David Farmer, Griffin Farmer, Sarah Farmer, Rhiannon Kurpicski, Emily Kurpicski and Nathan Kurpicski; his sister-in-law Beverly Kolin (Bubbles); his siblings, Joyce Cico, David Palmer, Karen Galde and Bruce Palmer; his close friend Griffith; and his great grandchildren, Ashley Chiado (Tanis) and Oliver Chiado. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as many "adopted" grandchildren.
