It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jeffrey Kenneth Newton of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, born in Athens, Alabama, who passed away on February 10, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy K. Newton and Chris Newton (Thurman); and his former life partner Lois Newton. He is survived by : his brother Steve Newton (Carol); his niece Wendy Nesmith; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Benjamin, Jonathan and Tenley Nesmith; his former life partner Margaret Newton; and his stepchildren, Andrew Smith (Shannon), Zoe Luter (Matt), Sally Whittaker, Harriet Rayle (Oscar) and Sam Whittaker (Elizabeth). He is also survived by many cousins and loyal friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Jeff may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or CHI Memorial Hospital.
