He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Ryder Herndon; and his siblings, Myrtle Wood and Hudson Stapleton. He is survived by: his wife Bennie Jones Stapleton of Lumber City; his daughters, Lynn Haymons Pickel, Jamie Pickel of Florida, Michelle Davenport and Chris Davenport of Hazlehurst; and his siblings, Catherine Smith of Glenwood, Inez Evans of Woodstock and William O. Stapleton (Billy) of Warner Robins. He is also survived by Nine Grandchildren and Ten Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
