She was predeceased by : her parents, John William and Nannie Searles Cleveland; her husband Clifford Leon Gardner, Sr.; and her siblings, Bennie Cleveland, Mae Simonds, Loreene Edwards and Mary Slayton.

She is survived by : her children, Clifford L, Angie, Billy Stallings and Helen Teague; her siblings-in-law, Wilburn and Nell Speers; and her niece Linda. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
