It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma New Ashcraft of Mableton, Georgia, born in Fort Payne, Alabama, who passed away on May 30, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Ruby New; her siblings, Joyce Turner, Mary Lou Holland, Earnie New and Vernon New; her children, Melinda Ann Ashcraft and Anthony John (Tony); her husband John T Ashcraft; her grandchildren, Amy Ashcraft Black (Reggie), Erin Ashcraft Thaxton (Nathan), Anthony John Ashcraft, Jr. (Brittney), Sydney Ashcraft and Victoria Ashcraft; her great grandchildren, Abigail, Jeremiah, Bethany, Josiah, Hannah, Hope and Michaiah; her son James; and her mother Finest Cookbook. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church (561 Veterans Memorial Hwy SE, Mableton, GA 30126). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
