She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Monroe and Cleone Theresa Childers Cox. She is survived by: her children, Brad DeFore (Kim) of Lizella, Susan DeFore of Macon and Tom Thigpen, II (Missy) of Lizella; her grandchildren, Ashley DeFore (Justin Mueller), Lacie James (Brad), Christopher Young (Harleigh) and Thomas Nolan Thigpen, III; her stepgrandchildren, A. J., Christopher and Brian; her brother Mike Cox (Vickie) of Macon; her nephew Heath Cox (Trinity) of Valdosta, Georgia; and her great-niece Camdyn Cox. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
