It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettye Stigall Gates of Macon, Georgia, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Stigall and Grace Rasner Stigall; her husband Evans Gates; and her siblings, Paul R. Stigall, Doris Stigall Walker and Shirley Stigall Dudley.
She is survived by: her nieces, Angela Hancock Williams and Lynda Hancock Bishop. She is also survived by her daughters; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
