He was predeceased by: his son Nicholas McKinlee; his father James "Jimmy" McKinley Self; and his brother James Todd Self. He is survived by: his wife Diane Davis Self of Macon; his children, Tara Marie Self of Atlanta and Joshua Randall Self of Macon; his mother Carolyn Self of Macon; his sisters, Tina Draughon (Bruce) of Macon and Vicky Krattli (Brian) of Jeffersonville, Georgia; his parents-in-law, Ernie Davis (Doylene) of Macon and Carol Davis of Macon; his sister-in-law Donna Graham (Frank) of Morganton, Georgia; his nieces and nephews, Emily Miller (Clay), Daniel Jester (Kristin), Jessica Molton, Robby Wells, Kathleen Wells, Alyson Wells and Chandler Graham; his great-nephew Dalton Jester; and his great-niece McKenzie Jester.
