She is survived by: her children, Joanie Carpenter Bowden, Mike Carpenter (Julia) and Gina Carpenter Saylor (Brian Russell); her grandchildren, Sandy Higdon Tout (Matt), Eric Goolsby (Chase Mason), Lisa Lee (David), Emily Ballengee (David), Brandon Bowden (April), Courtney Bowden, Ashley Smith (Ryan), Michael Carpenter (Hella), Logan Russell and Hershel Saylor; and her sisters, Marie Douglas (Bill), Betty Vannier, Jackie Pierce (Larry) and Bobbie White (Bob). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
