He was predeceased by: his wife Edna F. Howard. He is survived by: his children, Janice Arnold, Jeanette, Corliss Dixon (Melvin), Joseph Hampton, Valerie Goldston, Angela Howard (Andrew III), Felecia Hampton, Jacinto "Jay" Hampton and Walter Hamilton (Donna); and his sisters, Evelyn Peck and Otha Cora McClendon. He is also survived by other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
