It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Corliss Van Buren (Macon, Georgia), born in Statesboro, Georgia, who passed away on March 6, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Spurgeon and Elizabeth Aaron; her husband Richard Nelson Van Buren; her stepson Ross Ellerson Van Buren; her children, Alpheus "Phil" Phillips and Charles "Charlie" Phillips; her stepchildren, Joey Lynne Van Buren, Becky Van Buren (Steve) and Richard Alan Van Buren (Sheila); and her grandchildren, Clifford Nelson Jance, Anna Grace and Allison Gail Van Buren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church, 500 Bass Road, Macon, GA 31210.
