It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Wilson Gordy of Macon, Georgia, born in Meansville, Georgia, who passed away on August 25, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam R. Wilson and Estelle Adams Wilson; her husband Carl W. Gordy, Jr.; her grandchildren, Ellen Gordy Askew, William Carl Collins (Bill) and Christopher Collins; and her siblings, Hilton Wilson and Ruth Holloway.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Wolcott (Frank) of Hoover, AL, Barry C. Gordy (Connie) of Meansville, GA, Terry R. Gordy (Nancy) of Griffin, GA and Todd A. Gordy (Fraser) of Macon; and her grandchildren, Leigh Adams (Jeff), Amy Salter (Alan), Seth Gordy (Becky), Matt Gordy (Lindsey) and Laine Gordy. She is also survived by four children and later a doting grandmother and great grandmother.
