She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Smith and Lucille Hubbard Smith; her husband John Carranza; her daughter Patricia Ann Jones; and her siblings, Frances Brown Dodd, Jonnie Rountree, Ralph, Jack, Gene and Wiley Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Elaine Purvis, Stephen Alvin Ross and Michael David Ross; and her sister Thelma Stanford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
