He was predeceased by: his son Forrest Philip Cawley, III; and his sister Emma Ruth Maffett. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his son Jay (Sandy); his grandchildren, Belle Cawley of Rutledge and Phillip Cawley of Rutledge; and his sister Mardelle Carter of Nichols. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
