He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Shirah and Alma Shirah. He is survived by: his wife Martha Shirah; his children, Sylvia Haynie (Laura Voss) and Robert Shirah of Tennessee; his grandchildren, James P. Haynie (Ashlee) of New York, Franklin Michael Haynie of New York and Rebecca Shirah Miller of Macon; his great grandchild Madison Miller; his nephew Tommy Holmes (Debbie); and his niece Ann Holmes Hulett.
Flowers are accepted but donations can be made to Pine Point Hospice (Macon) or the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
