He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Clance and Eunice Kitchens Clance; his son Craig Richard Clance; and his brothers, James Clance and Royce Clance.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Clance of Macon; his children, Gene Carol Clance, Jr. (Patricia) of Macon, Kathy Freeman (Richie) of Warner Robins and Jennifer Carter (Jim) of Valdosta, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Christina Wade, Adam Clance, David Clance, Ben Clance, Madison Carlo (Seth), Abigail Carter and Clancey Grace Carter. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
