With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hembree Lonnie Darity Jr. of Macon, Georgia, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hembree Lonnie Darity, Sr. and Mary Launa Fowler; his wife Mary Geraldine "Gerri" Smith Darity; and his brother Donald Ray "Duck" Darity. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Darity Culp (Billy Lyles) of Danville, GA, Bobbi Jo Crosby (Tim) of Macon, GA, Lori Fullington (Blake) of Gray, GA and David Haviland (Pam) of Cochran, GA; his grandchildren, James Culp (Rebecca Reid) of Cochran, GA, Nick Culp of Danville, GA, Shelby Wright (Bo) of Gray, GA, Colby Haviland (Angelica Giardina) of Cochran, GA, Alexcis Elmore (Nick Moss) and Grier Elmore (Cason Taylor) of Gray, GA; and his close friend Peggy Woodard of Dudley, GA.. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church (3220 Cool Springs Rd, Danville, GA 31017). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3220 Cool Springs Rd, Danville, GA 31017.
