He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmo Coleman and Polly Coleman. He is survived by : his wife Glenda Clance Coleman; his sister Kay Brock; his daughter Leslie Dziedzic (Patrick); his grandson Tanner Dziedzic; his daughter Elizabeth McCollam (Stewart); his grandsons, Aiden and Noah McCollam; and his son Wright Coleman.

In lieu of flowers or other memorials, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Jim's honor to PBS, or to the donor's favorite charity.
