She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lynnwood Brooking, Jr. and Mildred Powers Brooking; and her brother Lyn Brooking. She is survived by: her husband James Earl "Jimmy" Weatherford; her children, Jeannie Brooke Weatherford Kinross (Steve Kinross), James Taylor Weatherford (Jessica Walden) and Robert Lynwood Weatherford; her brother Dr. Emerson Dean Brooking (Virginia Strickland Brooking); and her grandchildren, Jackson James Kinross, Olive Jean Kinross and Jameson Walden Weatherford.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mulberry United Methodist Church (719 Mulberry St, Macon, GA 31201).
