She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence A. Smoot; her son Ray Smoot; her parents, Walter Leverette and Annie Lou Leverette; and her siblings, Elsie Union, Jeanette Stokes and Hardison Leverette.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Smoot, Jean Brooks (Billy) and Joe Smoot (Debbie); her grandchildren, Kristen Brooks, Billy Brooks III (Lindsay), Adam Smoot, Michelle Smoot (William) and Greyson Smoot; and her sister Ina Goodin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
