She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Alvin Grimsley, Sr. and Hennie Hill Grimsley of Cochran; her brother Emmett A. Grimsley, Jr.; her sister-in-law Jacqueline Dykes Grimsley; and her son-in-law Alvin Jacob Hirsh.
She is survived by: her husband James Alvin Kimbell; her daughter Jan Kimbell Hirsh of Macon; her grandchildren, Haley Kimbell Hirsh of Atlanta and James Hamilton Hirsh of Macon; and also Eloise Jackson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
