Leon Holmes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2021, at the age of 89, Leon Holmes (Macon, Georgia), born in Ramer, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Navy; his wife Opal Dean Johnston Holmes; his children, Jerry, Paula Holmes of Fairhope, AL, Debbie, Tony Martin of Lawrenceville, GA and Chris Holmes of Washington, D. C.; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Rod Kinsey, Matthew, Shannon Holmes, Ashley, Shawn Brech and Allison Martin; his sister Agnes Holmes of Millbrook, AL.; and his friend Katherine Woodard. He was also cherished by three children, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the general public may not attend a formal visitation.
In lieu of flowers, Leon's family requests donations in his name to the volunteer Auxiliary of Houston Medical Center and/or to the Heart of Georgia Hospice at Perry Hospital.
