She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry and Mattie Lee Smith Simmons; and her siblings, Sam Simmons, Thomas Simmons and Maggie Pettis Gladius Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Pettis (Barbara) of Albany, Georgia and Ruthann Arnold (Kirk) of Macon; and her nieces and nephews, Pam Gay (Danny) of Fitzgerald, Steve Pettis of Byron, Georgia, David Garner, Sammy Simmons, Sharon Collins, Brenda Metz, Janis Johnson, Wonda Slayton and Rachel Denise Butler.
