She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosa Skipper and William Riley Hinson; her husband Leon "Buddy" Thigpen of Dublin, Georgia.; her sons, Jim and Jerry; her siblings, Lida, Doc, Grace, Bud, Joe and Tom; and her pet Winston.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Shelly Thigpen Rowell (Pate); her great grandchild Chase Rowell; and her daughter-in-law Lynda Thigpen.
