It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Dozier Holliday of Macon, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on March 4, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucius Lindsay Dozier and Lucy Specht Dozier; her husband Peter Osborne Holliday, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Jeanne Jones Holliday; and her friend Curtis Mason.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Peter Osborne Holliday, III (Karen) of Macon, Lucy Riley Holliday of Macon, Dr. Lindsay Dozier Holliday (Marie) of Macon and Mary Dozier Holliday Byrd (Ben F. Byrd, III) of Nashville, TN.; her grandson Peter O. Holliday, IV (Charlotte) of Charlotte, NC; her great grandchildren, Peter O. Holliday, Brenner and John Isaac; her granddaughter Dorothy Holliday Peterson (Kort) of Macon; her great grandchildren, Rosemary, Oscar and Beatrice; her granddaughter Lucy Faith Collins Payne; her great grandchildren, Edward and Martha; her granddaughter Jane Collins Boutwell (Andrew) of Tucker, GA; her great grandchildren, Elisha, Anna, Salter and Lucy; her granddaughter Mary Collins Guice of Macon; her great grandchildren, Asa, Stella and Susannah; her grandchildren, Elizabeth "Betty" Collins of Macon, Dr. Fairchild "Faira" Holliday Payne (Jason) of Appling and Georgia; her great grandchild Faye; and her grandchildren, Caroline Lindsay Byrd and Benjamin Franklin Byrd, IV of Nashville, TN.. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
