She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Waters and Maude Caraway Waters; her husband Lamar Lanthrip; her son Dean Denton; and her grandson Brian Denton.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry Denton (Martha) of Milledgeville, Gary Denton and William Denton of Macon; and her sisters, Delia Denton of Tennille and Reba Brown of Tennille. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
