It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Sheridan (Macon, Georgia), who passed away on February 14, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Dewey Knight and Sara Goolsby Knight; and her daughter Katherine Ann Benton Morehead (John Valentino Sheridan, Jr.). She is survived by: her husband Dr. Charles C. Benton; her close friend Jean Hogan; her children, Charles C. Benton III (Claudia) of Berkeley, Carden Benton Rice (Marvin) of Cumming, Georgia and John Valentino Sheridan III (Alice) of Macon; her grandchildren, Carling Dinkler (Ayame) of New Orleans, Charles Benton (Becca) of Berkeley, Thomas Benton of Berkeley, Sara Rice Travis (Parker) of Jacksonville, Alexander Tucker of Boulder, Val Sheridan of Macon and Loy Sheridan of Macon; and her great grandchildren, Luke Benton, Ansley Dinkler and Maya Benton.
