He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Johns and Lucy Upshaw Johns; his stepdaughter Amy Martin; and his siblings, Jessie, Henry, Homer Ray Johns and Austine Watson.
He is survived by: his children, David Mashburn (Melissa), Shanna Blackwell (Andy), Jason Murphy (Crystal) and Jeff Johns (D. J. Atkins); his stepson Aaron Martin (Marie); and his siblings, Robert Johns (Vickie), Patsy Stover (Bill), Annie Mae Yaughn (Eddie), Geraldine Leverette Lucille Sheriff (John), Sally Gaskins (Jimmy) and Fifteen. He is also survived by Fifteen grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren.
