He was predeceased by: his parents, Giles Brooks and Jewell Posey Marsh; his sister Kay Marsh Woods; and his pets, Willie and Ginger.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Mote Marsh; his children, Kerry Brooks Marsh (Mary) and Reneé Marsh Bagley (Chris); his grandchildren, Allen Brooks Marsh (Emily), Eric Brooks Bagley (Betsy) and Lauren Bagley Wang (Nathan); and his great grandchildren, Brooks, Boyd and Everett.
