It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosa Shearer Bennett of Macon, Georgia, who passed away on January 23, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson Mattison Shearer and Aline Johnson Shearer Ellington; her husband Walter M. Bennett; her son Lane Madison Bennett; her sisters, Gladys Shearer Toole and Florine Shearer Spillers; and her niece Melody Shearer.
She is survived by: her daughter Lark Bennett of Miami Beach, Florida; her nieces, Debbie Salyer of St. Simons Island, Sheree Apple and Georgia; her nephew Stanley Spillers (Sybil) of Roberta; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Melody Bennett, Sarah Applebury, Wesley Applebury and Will Applebury.
