She is survived by: her husband Earl Balkcom; her children, Carl Bennett Balkcom, Clayton Brown Balkcom and Corrie Land; and her siblings, Christy Bowman Bass and Brownie Bass Hubbard. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Building/Maintenance Fund, 7015 Rivoli Rd., Macon, Ga 31210.
