We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2020, at the age of 96, Vashti Edwards (Macon, Georgia), born in Unadilla, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rainey F. Scroggins and Mabel C. Scroggins; and her sisters, Atha Bledsoe Posey, Ruby Peavy Futch, Nancy Bowen and Jean Bowen Dougherty.

She is survived by: her husband George B. Edwards; and her children, Gayle Stokes (Larry), Sheila Mercer (Tim), Billy Edwards (Patsy) and Paul Edwards (Terri). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
