It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Marek of Macon, Georgia, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Marek and Anna J. Fousek Marek; and his siblings, Elmer Marek and Gladys Jones. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Holley Marek of Sparta; his children, Julia Marek of Osage Beach, MO and Jason Marek of Elebron, IA; and his siblings, Lavona LaGrange, Dolores VanGeenen, Karen Konen and Donald Marek. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
