He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thompson and Hattie Kersey Thompson; and his siblings, Junior Thompson, Albert Thompson, Vernon Thompson, Charles Thompson, Odessa Hayes and Athell Beechum.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Faye Fellows Thompson; his children, Jerry Wilson Thompson (Linda), Lisa Faye Thompson McCranie (Ray) and Tammy Lynn Thompson Carroll; his siblings, Edward Thompson (Weda), J. C. Thompson (Maude) and Laura Hazelton (Nick); his mother-in-law Carolyn Fellows; his grandchildren, Savannah Annis (Michael), Bryannah Carroll, Faith McCranie, RayAnna McCranie and Jesse Ryun Thompson (Katie); and his great grandchildren, Conner, Carsyn, Kessler, Kayden, Kolton, Westin and Grayson.
