She is survived by : her children, Bettye Candis, Veronica Elder, Joyce Elder, Kenneth Thompson, Sherrin Thompson, Wayne Thompson (Darlene) and Qunitta Thompson; and her sister Verna Mathews (Jesse). She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends.
