He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Hudgins and Susie Hudgins; and his siblings, George Lewis Hudgins, III, Glenn Edward Hudgins, Ruth Ann Hudgins Beverly and Linda Hudgins Burton.
He is survived by: his uncle Billy; his wife Jean Hudgins; his sons, Gary Lee, Jr. (Anna Hudgins) and Brad Hondo Alston (Debra Alston); his grandchildren, Alva and Leo; and his siblings, Gale Hudgins, Gregory Hudgins, Michele Hudgins Ozumba, Deborah Hudgins Jeff, Karen Hudgins, Jerome Price (Kathy), Solomon Brown (Pat) and James Thomas (Teresa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
