He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Harding Newby and Doris Matthews; his stepmother Eula "Sally" Newby; and his brother Larry Thomas Newby. He is survived by: his grandchildren, John Michael and Davey; his wife Carline Taylor Newby; his siblings, William Charles "Billy" Newby (Barbara), June Carol Newby Mostoway, Ginger Newby Morris (Stevie) and Lisa Newby Carver (Brad); his sister-in-law Shirley Newby; his son Michael Harding Newby (Cheryl); his niece Kathryn Newby Celentano (David); his grandchildren, Lauren Haslett Celentano (Oliver), David William Celentano, Jr. (Lindsay) and John Michael Newby; and his nieces and nephews, William C. Newby, Jr. (Christine), Landrum Carver, Jacob Carver, Renee Newby Daniels (Clay) and Tracy May Newby.
Due to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, burial will be private and memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond's honor may be made to the MDE School in Marietta, GA, to Autism Speaks, or to the American Cancer Society.
