He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Thomas Mathuss and Georgia Pearl Mathuss; his wife Patsy Sosebee Mathuss; and his grandson Joshua David Brown. He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Davidson (Hal), Julie Brown (David) and Jenny Willis (Thomas); his grandchildren, Russ (Caroline), Eric (Liza), Amelia (Marc), J. T. and Caleb; his great grandchildren, Jay, Joel, Annie Kate and Maley; his sister Elaine Abrahamson (Bill); and his sisters-in-law, Jeanette Sosebee Lee and Joanne Sosebee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Children's Home.
