It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Lou Reed of Maysville, Georgia, born in Hoschton, Georgia, who passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Oscar Murphy and Lela Ethel Murphy; her children, Melinda Sue Ward and Mitchell Lynn Ward; and her brothers, Johnny and Ike Murphy.

She is survived by : her children, Belinda Ann Martin (James), Harold Dean Ward Jr. (Karen), Melissa Massey (Anthony) and Larry Ward; and her siblings, Gene, Paul Murphy and Betty Hayes Adams. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great- grandchildren.
