He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bradford James and Mary Ellen James. He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Carla James-Weldon (Gary) of Arab, AL and David James (Melissa) of McDonough, GA; his grandchildren, Valerie James of Sarasota, FL, Charles James (Marilyn) of Locust Grove, GA, Hannah James of McDonough, GA, Bradford James of McDonough, GA, Maria Holsenbeck (Josh) of Locust Grove, GA and Carmen Britt (Aeron) of Locust Grove, GA; and his great grandchildren, Elaina, Liam, Logan and Charlotte. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Meals on Wheels at 1050 Florence McGarity Blvd, McDonough, GA 30252.
