Carlton James Barnett Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlton James Barnett of McDonough, Georgia, born in Avondale Estates, Georgia, who passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl James and Clara Belle Bird Barnett; his brother Earl Barnett; and his grandson Matthew Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Gnann Barnett; his children, Jimmy Barnett (Ansley) of Augusta, Heidi Holland (Brad) of Orlando and Amy Powers (David) of McDonough; his grandchildren, Patrick Barnett (Alyssa) of Kentucky, Andrew Barnett of Augusta, Lauren Holland of Florida, Kristen Holland of Florida, Ashley Powers of McDonough and Tyler Powers of McDonough; and his siblings, Virginia Spears (Mahlon) of Marietta and Don Barnett (Sharon) of Marietta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made the McDonough First United Methodist Church, 151 Macon St., McDonough, GA 30253 in memory of James.
