She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Cecil Carter and Helen Lucille Carter (Beard); and her brothers, Norman Cecil Carter, Jr. and Robert Neil Carter. She is survived by: her children, Danny Thompson (Donna) of Athens, GA, Donna McKenzie (Ted) of Augusta, GA, Doug Thompson (Linda) of Augusta, GA and Dennis Thompson (Jeanie) of Oak Ridge, TN; and her sister Shelby Cathcart of McDonough, GA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem Baptist Church adult ministry in Ms. Thompson's memory.
