He was predeceased by: his parents, James Melvin Sims and Bessie Mae Sims; his wife Jo Ann Sims; and his siblings, Margie Mason and James Sims.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Woodall (Tommy) of McDonough, GA and Chuck Sims (Carla) of McDonough, GA; his brother Warren Sims (Mary) of McDonough, GA; his sister-in-law Ellen Sims; his grandchildren, Bobby Woodall (Amber), Libby Woodall, Chad, Will and Colson Sims; his great grandchild Hudson Cain; and also Sussie Bishop. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Sharon Baptist Church Joy Ministry, they can be mailed to the church at 536 N. Ola Road, McDonough GA 30252.
