He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Schafer (Holroyd) and Alfred Schafer; his parents-in-law, George and Ellen Fritton; his siblings, John, Stephen, David and Mary Lisa; his siblings-in-law, Debbie and Joe Krohn; and his nephews, Mark Schafer and Brett Romberg.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Agnes (Fritton); his children, Alex and Sara; his sister Teresa (Bill); his siblings-in-law, Barb Romberg (Mike), Margaret Martinosky (Jim), Theresa Fichtner (Terry), Cecilia Smiley (Fred), Veronica Trimble (Mike), Anastasia Travis (Joel), Mike Fritton (Tammy), John Fritton (Angie), Bill Fritton and Pete Fritton (Teresa); his aunt Loretta Nelson; and his uncles, Jim Schafer, Leroy Schafer and J. Paul Fritton. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
