He was predeceased by: his parent Preston; and his siblings, Charles, Walter, Ralph East and Joan East Milner.

He is survived by: his wife Gail Gordon East; and his sibling's children, Elsie Clark (Ronald), Linda Delano (Bob), Susan Kearney (Keith), Sara Toth (Trevor), Walt East (LouAnn), Joe East (MaryAnn), David East, Kent Milner (JongMei) and Jim Milner.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph's Episcopal Church or to Little Blue for Blue Lives, 1549 Highway 42 South, Flovilla, GA 30216.
