He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Nicholson and Beatrice Nicholson; his wife Joan Nicholson; and his siblings, Jerry Nicholson, Charles Nicholson, Donald Nicholson, Jimmy Nicholson, Michael Nicholson and Elaine McCullough.
He is survived by: his children, Donnie Nicholson (Sheila) of Shadydale, David Nicholson of Atlanta, Holly Watson (Scott) of Conyers and Mary Ann; and his sisters, Annette Ledbetter (Paul) of Jackson and Peggy McCullough of Lithonia. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
