She is survived by: her siblings, Herbert Sterling, Annie Sterling-Henderson and Sylvia Sterling-Seabon; her son Bernard "Kinyatta" Lewis; and her granddaughters, Asiah C. Hayes-Carter and Vernard K. Carter Jr. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, grand-children, great-grand children, relatives and friends.
