He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster Spivey and Flossie Ann Spivey. He is survived by: his sons, Norris Howell (Dean) of Locust Grove and Al Spivey (Dee) of Mississippi; his grandchildren, Charles Byrd (Casey), Steve Spivey and Elizabeth Spivey; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Johanna, Noah and Benjamin; his sister Fostine Swain; and his niece Ann Harper.
