He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Novalee Potts Nation; and his siblings, Wayne Nation, Della Shelton and Benny Nation.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Nation; his children, Christy Nation and Herb Jr.; his daughter-in-law Shiree Nation; his grandchildren, Amanda Whitaker (Matt), Kayla Fransen (Blake), Michael Prickett (Erica), Adam Nation (Lauren), Austin Nation (Danielle) and Alexis Overstreet (Cory); his great grandchildren, Peyton Whitaker, Wade Fransen, Henry Nation and Kensli Mcelwaney; his siblings, Willie Grindle, Shelby Ledford, Johnny Nation and Gerald Nation; and his siblings-in-law, Loyd Shelton and Jerri Nation. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Lung Association.
